Creative writing charity Arvon has appointed ALISTAIR BURTENSHAW as its new Chair. Burtenshaw, who currently works as the Director of The Charleston Trust, replaces NIGEL PANTLING.

The new Executive Director of Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts is SARAH PREECE. She has previously worked for Battersea Arts Centre and London’s Royal Court Theatre, and joins STEPHEN JAMESON who was announced as Artistic Director earlier this year.

The British Council has appointed EMMA DEXTER as its new Director of Visual Arts. Currently Exhibitions Director at London’s Timothy Taylor Gallery, she replaces ANDREA ROSE who steps down after 20 years in the role.

Director of Public Affairs and Programming DAMIEN WHITMORE has left the Victoria and Albert Museum as part of a senior management restructure. His role will not be replaced.
