The Society of London Theatre has appointed producer CARO NEWLING as its new President.
Chief Executive of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra MICHAEL ELLIOTT is standing down in order to take on the role of Chief Executive Officer at ABRSM, the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. Previously he was Director of Culture for the DCMS.
New members of the Crafts Council board are jewellery collector and curator JO BLOXHAM, Professor of Design at the University of Brighton BRUCE BROWN, artist and curator MATT DURRAN, Co-Founder and Creative Director of the Institute of Making DR ZOE LAUGHLIN, and artist and curator CLARE TWOMEY.
MATTHEW XIA is the new Associate Artistic Director of Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre. Last year he received the Regional Theatre Young Director Scheme bursary and took up the post of Director in Residence at the Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse Theatres.
