Answers from the cultural sector to seventeen questions on four specific themes will form the basis of an investigation by the Warwick Commission on the Future of Cultural Value. The Commission has launched a call for evidence relating to investment in culture, the value of culture, education and talent, and international trends, and is seeking data, research findings, case studies and examples to contribute to a constructive debate and fresh policy thinking. Groups and individuals, including cultural organisations, creative producers, economists, policymakers, academics, consultants and interested members of the general public are being invited to submit relevant information on a diverse array of issues, which include the measurement and evaluation of cultural value; links between education and arts participation and consumption; effective and ineffective partnerships between public and private funders; and how arts and cultural investment in England compares with the other countries of the UK. Evidence can be submitted anonymously and will be read and considered by the research team, with relevant data being used to brief Commissioners and contribute to the final recommendations. The submission dates are between 16 December 2013 and 15 October 2014. Full details are published on the Commission’s website.
