OHMI Trust has announced that LIA MICE, MAT DAGLEISH, SIMON KING and LIANE TODD have been appointed to its board of trustees.

The Birmingham-based charity supports children and adults with physical impairments, enabling them to play the instruments they want to play.

Mice is a multidisciplinary artist, educator and maker of oversized musical instruments, as well as the programme leader of the MA Creative Music Production at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London.

Todd is a performer and teacher in the North East of England who discovered a one-handed clarinet after an accident left her with life-changing disabilities and challenges.

A one-handed musician who plays the guitar, Dalgleish is a senior lecturer in Game Audio and Technical Design at Staffordshire University.

King is a chartered accountant who has held governance, risk and assurance roles in the public and private sectors as well as being a senior civil servant.

CLARE SALTERS, OHMI’s chair, said: “From incredible knowledge of building instruments, playing music one-handed and strong networks across the educational sector, our new trustees bring an exciting mix of new skills and experiences to OHMI’s board.”
