The Role:
You’ll play a key role in delivering our marketing strategy across the festival’s four strands (Opera, Music, Jazz, and Books) and other year-round events. The position involves driving growth through data and audience analysis and group bookings. If you’re a self-starter, data-driven, have a strong understanding of current marketing trends, love writing, have an eye for detail, and enjoy working across multiple platforms, this is the role for you!
Responsibilities:
- Data & CRM:Manage, update and monitor our ThankQ CRM system
- Analyse existing audience data and implement objectives and aspirations for the future of the Festival
- Develop robust, meaningful ways of capturing, evaluating and segmenting data to drive audience development campaigns
- Working with the wider team to understand the needs of funders, and stakeholders and assist in reporting to them.
- Analyse and report to the team on audience booking, social media/online and attendance trends.
- Group Bookings: Promote and manage group bookings for key events, ensuring a smooth process for all customers and partners.
- Website: Update the website, ensuing all content is accurate and engaging.
- Copywriting, Design & Proofreading:Write engaging copy for marketing materials including our brochure, seasonal magazine (Overture), as well as for online and other print campaigns.
- Assist in collating and editing programme notes and all publicity, biography and imagery from artists/agents for print and website.
Proofread content to maintain a high standard of quality across all our platforms. - Work with designers, as well as creating some marketing collateral inhouse.
Campaigns: Plan and execute creative campaigns to drive ticket sales, grow audiences and raise brand awareness. - Video & Social Media: Create video content and assist in the management of our social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn etc.).
- E-Newsletters: Assist in creating e-newsletters and email marketing campaigns.
- Event Promotion: Promote events and manage group bookings.
What We’re Looking For:
- Marketing experience (preferably 2 years within a similar role).
- A strong understanding of data-driven marketing
- Experience using CRM systems (ThankQ knowledge would be great!).
- Strong writing and proofreading skills
- Familiarity with the WordPress CMS and design software.
- Experience in social media management, video editing and e-newsletter creation (Mailchimp or similar).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
