AMANDA PARKER is stepping down as CEO of inclusion advocacy organisation Inc Arts.

Parker, who founded the business in 2019, cited personal reasons for her resignation.

Inc Arts’ trustees gave Parker time away from her business responsibilities from January this year. She says this allowed her “space for reflection” and helped her reach the decision to begin a new role.

Later this month, she will join The Forward Institute as Director of Public Affairs and Communications.

It is a non-profit organisation that works with industry, government and business leaders to create ethical, responsible organisation and systems change.

Inc Arts board chair ANAND BHATT led tributes to Parker’s contribution to the charity’s growth and confirmed she will retain her connection as honorary and non-executive CEO Emerita.

“Amanda is an extraordinary visionary. The quality of national discussion around inclusion, equity and diversity in these past two years has been accelerated in part because of Amanda's formidable work. We sincerely wish the very best for Amanda, always,” Bhatt said.

Parker, a former ArtsProfessional editor, will continue her commitment to the sector as a trustee of the RSC and as a business consultant for Intermission Youth.

Inc Arts UK Steering Group member LUCY SHEEN added: “I have no doubt that her passion, commitment and insight will be applied with the same dedication wherever Amanda goes. We know that Amanda will always be a huge part of Inc Arts UK and will continue to support the work.”
