RACHEL DICKSON is set to become Deputy Director, Academic at The Glasgow School of Art (GSA).

She is the current Dean of Academic Programmes at Central Saint Martins, a constituent college of the University of the Arts London, where she is responsible for the management of four academic programmes.

Dickson has a professional background in academia within creative education, with experience designing and leading courses across all levels of higher education. Prior to her appointment at Central Saint Martins, Dickson was Associate Head of School at Belfast School of Art at the University of Ulster.

“As a key member of our Senior Leadership team, Rachel will make a huge contribution to the development and implementation of our academic vision and build on the work already being undertaken to deliver the highest quality student experience,” Professor PENNY MACBETH, Director of The Glasgow School of Art, commented.

Dickson added:  “The launch of the new strategy under Penny’s leadership creates the opportunity to work with all of our community both within and out with the GSA to shape our future collectively and collaboratively through ambition, courage and care."
