Brown to be Technical Director of Cast

Doncaster theatre Cast has announced OLIVER BROWN as its new Technical Director.

Brown has nearly 20 years’ experience working in performance venues and theatre production, most recently as Head of Production and Technical at Hull Truck Theatre, alongside lecturing in Technical Theatre. 

He also serves as a Trustee Director for the Association of British Touring Theatre Technicians (ABTT), Director for the Production Managers Forum and as a trustee for York-based Riding Lights Theatre Company. 

Brown says he is thrilled to be joining Cast as it prepares for its tenth anniversary next year.

“I am delighted to be joining one of Yorkshire’s leading producing venues and look forward to working with my colleagues and continuing to refine Cast’s programme,” he said.

Cast Director and Chief Executive DEBORAH REES called Brown a “hugely experienced technical director,” adding that “his experience will help Cast to develop its production capacity as well as take advantage of technical innovations to ensure Cast remains one of the UK’s best equipped venues”.
