Hull Truck Theatre has announced new members joining its Board of Trustees.

NATASHA BARLEY, CHRIS JACOBSEN, SUE ALLAN, FRANCESCA LEONE and PETTER LAUTIN have been appointed for three-year terms.

Barley is currently CEO of Hull and East Yorkshire Children’s University, a charity working with philanthropists, trusts and foundations to ensure children from disadvantaged backgrounds have access to the arts. Jacobsen, who runs a Hull-based marketing agency, aims to support the theatre’s continued advocacy of the city at a local and cultural level.

Allan is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Leone is a junior doctor and Lautin is Chief Executive of CyByL Technologies.

They are joined on the board by councillors MARK BISBEY and ROB PRITCHARD, who represent Hull City Council, a partner and supporter of Hull Truck Theatre.

As the theatre celebrates its 50th year, the board members will provide strategic guidance, ensure the smooth running of the theatre and offer perspectives on audience development and community engagement.

“The newly appointed board members reflect our determination to be ever more inclusive, with a diversity of voices representing the many communities that make Hull Truck relevant to audiences across the North,” Board Chair ALAN DIX said.
