Julie's Bicycle

A welcome introductory session

Join Julie’s Bicycle for an introduction to Transforming Energy, a free energy emissions reduction programme for arts and cultural organisations.

With the UK government’s pledge to reduce its carbon emissions and reach net zero by 2050, cultural organisations are setting goals and mapping out actions in order to play their part. This programme is designed to support the sector to meet their environmental goals, save money, and benefit the planet.

Many organisations have begun reducing their energy-related emissions while others are just starting out and are keen to do more. This programme aims to help your organisation reduce energy emissions at all stages of this process, providing resources and expert support from our technical partners, Pilio.

Following the introductory session, organisations can sign up to the programme for free resources, energy management training, Q&A drop in sessions and webinars.

Who is this for?

Anyone in your organisation who looks after management of your building and/or office e.g. facilities manager, office manager, operations manager, maintenance and energy consultants.

It is open to cultural organisations in England that are building-based and meet the programme’s basic criteria. It is for ACE national portfolio organisations as well as the wider sector.

We work in partnership with Arts Council England (ACE) to deliver their Environmental Programme for NPO, IPSOs, grant awardees, and the wider cultural sector.
