BP and Edinburgh International Festival end sponsorship deal

Oil giant BP has ended its 34-year partnership with the festival due to a “challenging business environment”. This comes less than a month after BP ended its 26-year relationship with Tate for the same reason, and renewed pressure by campaigners and leading arts figures for the British Museum to sever its own 20-year partnership with the company.
