Bath and North East Somerset Council to scrap arts grants

In a plan to save £433k over three years, the council will phase out its arts grants programme – which awards grants of up to £5k – from the end of the financial year. A petition to overturn the proposal has been launched by Luke John Emmett, Creative Director at Theatre Bath.
